(X) A Fantasy is an exhibition of new commissions and works by historical and contemporary artists featured in the David and Indrė Roberts Collection. The exhibition is the last in DRAF’s Camden space after ten years of programming.

Over thirty artworks explore the subversion of the everyday, the transgression of boundaries between public and private spheres and how individual and collective engagements make the political personal.

The exhibition has an ambitious opening night. There will be performances by Hannah Regel who will present her text work, How to fill a room, with a soundtrack by Hannah Regel and Luke Walker, with thanks to the Wellcome Collection.

Fernanda Muñoz-Newsome presents something orange: our bodies slip slide through knowing, a new choreography ‘unravelling the in-between spaces of our private and public bodies,’ performed by Fernanda Muñoz-Newsome and Jamila Johnson-Small, with sound production by Nick Owen from Pumarosa.

Artist Zoe Williams presents her commissioned work, Ceremony of the Void, a voluptuous banquet inviting visitors to experience her fantastical immersive environment with costumes designed by Hydra Sartorial Latex and performances by musicians Pathfinder, Viki Steiri, Dario Papavassiliou and performers, Mensah A. Bonsu, Freya Field-Donovan, Pegah Tahmasebi, Susu Laroche, Deniz Unal, Nadja Voorham.

The opening reception rounds off with an afterparty that includes a performance by Urara Tsuchiya and a DJ set by collaborative project and artists, New Noveta.
